No longer a fan performer, our favorite Rocket Scientists out of Huntsville are officially 2016 Performers for the Filk Track!

Foot Pound Force hails from the Rocket City of Huntsville, AL and is composed of three old friends that happen to be engineers when they are not busy rocking out.  First formed in 2007, they have been writing, recording, and performing music as often as they can get the chance.  Their style has been described as Nerd Rock, but it is also a diverse and geeky oscillation of rock, cow punk, R&B, funk, jazz and many crazy tangents.  The mad scientists behind this creation are Ken Barnes on guitar and vocals, David Hewitt on bass and vocals, and Brandon Whitworth holding it all together on drums.  Together they have written and performed songs celebrating and lampooning breakfast products, video games, social media, science fiction, science and its mad adherents, TV, space travel, hipsters, nerd love, craft beer, pop culture, engineering, and hackers.  With their lab coats on, Foot Pound Force is on a mission to spread the fun from their bacon-powered starship.
